Childish Things is a playful, nostalgic and intergenerational exhibition that explores childhood. Presenting artworks and objects from the Leamington Spa Art Galley & Museum collection, the exhibition asks visitors to reflect on the things we put away as we grow and invite them to bring out their childish side.
Favourites from the art collection, like Anne Finlay’s Study For A Woman’s Life will be shown alongside toys, games and objects from the social history collection. While grown-ups can indulge in nostalgia, younger visitors will be able to engage with the exhibition through tailored labels and interactive activities.
This project is supported using public funding from Museum Development Midlands and Arts Council England.
