We are looking for volunteers to support the delivery of a new dance and music project for Early Years and families in North Warwickshire.
Dance in the Dark is an exciting research and development project which will see the creation of a brand new dance and music show for children age 2-6 and their families. As part of the project we will be delivering dance and music workshops and fun interactive performances at Camp Hill Children and Family Centre, St Michaels Children and Family Centre and Bedworth Heath this Autumn.
Children and families will join the performers from Sonrisa Arts for a fun dance and music workshop and/or a performance with interaction for ages 2-6 and their grown-ups where together we will explore the dark. We need help to find friendly creatures, play with the stars, create night-time sounds and discover how to be brave at bedtime.
We are looking for volunteers to shadow and assist the two session leaders and company director. Duties could include; helping with collecting feedback, joining in and supporting individual children/families during the session, handing out props, taking a register, collecting feedback, taking video and photos of the project.
This is an exciting and valuable professional development opportunity suitable for anyone interested in the arts, as well as performing arts/dance students, recent graduates or those working in Early Years provision wishing to gain expertise and practical skills in delivering creative movement sessions.
This project has been made possible with support from Arts Council England, Warwickshire County Council and Heart of England Community Foundation.
